It is quite difficult to pick, really…the best part of the story. Imagination, adventure, and whimsy at every turn. Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is one of my all time favorite stories. Many lessons to be learned and beauty to be dreamt. Tea parties to be had and flowers to converse with. The whole story is really a masterpiece.
My fascination began as a child with the Disney movie and lead me onto the Lewis Carole books. I can remember as a kid being so engrossed in the story, turning the pages as fast as I could eager to find out who the next character was…as if I didn’t already know. I now read my daughter the illustrated Alice books and she loves them as well, perhaps not as much as I, but the fascination is definitely there.
Enough about Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland already though…and lets get to the real life version of Wonderland. Wonderland Organics.
Wonderland Organics is founded by no other than Alice herself! Alice Lin, a skincare professional and organics lover hailing from my home state, California. Ally, as she calls herself, has quite an adventurous story herself. She started out with a poli sci degree and was lead into skincare when seeking products for her sensitive skin. Soon she discovered the importance of organic for both food and skincare and a few tea parties later Wonderland Organics skin care line was born.
Wonderland Organics is formulated with wild crafted and organic ingredients. No harsh preservatives or toxic ingredients here, their entire line you can feel good about using. Each product is even made by hand and in small batches. Preserving the delicate nutrients so that they remain as potent as possible for the consumer.
Just as the purpose of the Alice stories was to transport us to another world, Wonderland Organics captures this essence in all of their products. The labels alone inspire whimsey and thrill. A giant W aside a tiny mushroom, perhaps the one Alice was offered by the Caterpillar? The adventures continue once the product is used, from the fragrance to the results it all seems out of this world.
Ally’s products just scream “Eat Me”…well perhaps not eat but use! But do not fear for none of them will make you shrink…at least they didn’t to me.
Wonderland Organics Indulge Lotion is a great beginning to our adventure. When I use it I am transported to that garden walk Alice takes and talks with the flowers. They think she is a wildflower, she insists she is just Alice. Flowers of all kinds surround her. The smell of that garden must have been delightful, just as the lotion is.
The Indulge Lotion, packaged in a violet glass bottle looks beautiful on the bathroom counter. Inside you find a delightfully creamy and light pale eggshell creme. Immediately the floral scent rises to your nose, a delicate balance of rose, geranium, lavender, and vanilla kiss your senses. Never too overpowering…and this is coming from someone who doesn’t like rose scent…the fragrance mellows the nerves and brings you into a dreamy state. Alice would be so proud.
Now onto the texture, it’s light, slightly slippery, and absorbs instantaneously. My favorite place to use the Indulge Lotion is on my hands, just before bed. It leaves a soft almost polished feeling to them. Hydrating to just the perfect point, where the skin is supple and calmed and yet no residue remains. I imagine the Queen of Hearts herself would approve.
Of course, as with all the products I recommend here, the ingredients list is as clean as a whistle. Being made of almost entirely organic or wildcrafted herbs and oils Indulge Lotion is safe for anyone to use. Some of the highlight ingredients, in my opinion, are rose hip seed oil, MSM, rooibos. These three powerhouses are full of anti-aging, oxidant fighting, skin repairing nutrients. Rose hip seed is high in essential fatty acids which makes it a winner for dehydrated and dry skin. MSM is a sulfur compound that has the ability to easily penetrate the skins deepest layers. It is anti-inflammatory, hydrates the cells, and reduces dark spots. Rooibos is full of anti-oxidants great for fighting sun damage and aging.

The Three Serums
Wonderland Organics also hand crafts three decadent facial serums. One for each skin type. Balance Serum for oily or combination skin, Sublime Serum for dry to normal skin, and Soothe Serum for maturing skin. Ally was kind enough to also send me samples of each of these serums. I can say if you are a serum gal, then you must give these a try.
The three Serums are blended expertly and offer the skin a tall drink of nutrients. My favorite of the three is the Balance Serum. Although I don’t have oily skin my face doesn’t typically take to serums well so I choose the lightest of the three to test out. I have found that it offers great deep hydration when my skin is needing it most. Although I didn’t use it on a daily basis, out of fear of my personal skin woes, I do thoroughly enjoy it when I do. It is great after a long day in the sun or when the weather changes and dries out my skin. The Balance Serum leaves my skin smoothed, balanced, and glowing. Essentially it has become my go to when my skin needs intense hydration. I can see how any of her serums would make a great addition for you serum lovers out there.
Wonderland Organics no doubt takes me away to a land far off. The scents transport me to a wildflower meadow, a calm relaxing place, perfect to renew the spirit and mind. The Indulge Lotion is one of the best “light” lotions I have tried. It easily made itself into my daily beauty routine, and I don’t see it leaving anytime soon. Softened skin with no greasy residue, yes please. Then on to their Serums for facial care that is sure to please. Alice’s careful formulations result in the utmost delicate skincare. Offering benefits to each skin type, supple skin is sure to await each of us. You can purchase Wonderland Organics here, but be careful not to get lost or you might just find yourself in a garden of talking flowers.
