July has brought us an innovative and much needed daily facial sunscreen, from the one and only Kari Gran. The first new product in the last four years from Kari Gran, Three Sixty Five SPF 28 was easily incorporated into my daytime routine and keeps a strong spot just before makeup application. Get this lotion and the trio of sidekicks, in this months Beauty Heroes box — always flu sizes-always heroic prices.
Founded in 2011, Kari Gran is a luxury makeup and skincare line with no-nonsense ingredients that are kind to the skin. Each product is crafted from wild harvested, organic, and non-GMO ingredients. Currently, Kari Gran is spearheading the “Wear Yourself In” Campaign. Greeted by a photo of a beautifully aged woman at their homepage, they explain what Wear Yourself In means.
“For years the beauty industry has pushed an impossible idea of flawless youth, rather than embracing the natural aging process that enables us to reflect on the life we’ve lived and respect the wisdom and character we can impart on the world — one face at a time.”
Bringing to life the concept that aging is nothing to be feared, rather an expression of authenticity the Wear Yourself In campaign just warms my heart. In an era of Botox and Restylane aplenty Kari Gran is a breath of life to women of every age. Learn more about the campaign here.
Kari Gran Three Sixty Five SPF 28
This unique formula reminds me less of a sunscreen and more like a serum. Composed without water, the product is based around some spectacularly nourishing organic oils. Red raspberry seed, french plum, macadamia, kukui, and avocado blend with non-nano zinc oxide. The formula is medium viscosity and uber silky. I love how well it blends into the skin, applying slightly white and then absorbing swiftly and completely.
It’s no comparison to any daily sunscreen I’ve used, far surpassing any competitors. Kari Gran Three Sixty Five SPF 28 is THE daily facial sunscreen to have. No more worries about a heavy greasy mess that sweats off at the moments of suns exposure. I use it as a substitute for a serum in the mornings, and do nothing but tone just before.
Its perfect alone or with your favorite foundation applied over. The blend plays nicely with the four foundations I’ve tied. Just make sure, if you're using powder foundation to let give the Kari Gran an extra few minutes to absorb fully. This SPF lasts all day, unless you jump in a pool or get covered in water. It even withstood an all day lake/pool day, where I kept my face above water, without any bit of burning!
Normally retailing for $48 for 30ml, you can save big by subscribing to Beauty Heroes before the 20th (or sale out).
